Job Title: Construction Estimator Location: Bendigo, Regional Victoria

Whelan Master Builders is seeking a motivated Construction Estimator with expertise in Cubit software and the ability to undertake Construction Administration tasks. While familiarity with Procore is preferred, we welcome candidates who demonstrate a strong ability to learn and adopt construction management systems. Key Responsibilities:

Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates.

Use Cubit software to develop detailed budgets and project estimates.

Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn Procore and other construction management systems.

Collaborate with a supportive team of architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver projects that reflect Innovation, Excellence, and Craftsmanship.

Assess costs for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractors to optimise project budgets.

Manage Construction Administration tasks, including:

Coordinating schedules, project documentation, and permits.

Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contracts.

Addressing on-site challenges to maintain momentum and quality.

Monitor and manage project progress to ensure delivery within established timelines and budgets.

Provide solutions to mitigate potential delays and cost overruns.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for estimates and project management.

Work independently to deliver high-quality results while staying aligned with team goals.

Stay informed about industry trends, material pricing, and regional regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably in Regional Victoria or similar settings.

Proficiency in Cubit software for estimation tasks.

Demonstrated aptitude for learning new systems like Procore and other construction management tools.

Strong understanding of Construction Administration processes and best practices.

Exceptional organisational and analytical skills, with a meticulous approach to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering collaboration within a team-focused environment.

Proven track record of managing timelines and budgets successfully.

Ability to work autonomously and take initiative when needed.

Knowledge of local construction regulations, standards, and codes.

Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields (preferred).
