About the role
CLPM Pty Ltd, a sector-specialist building company, is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Estimator to join our growing team. Following recent success, we are looking to expand and can offer career growth with the potential to transition into a Project Management role to the right candidate, if this is desired. You will play a key role in tendering and overseeing the delivery of Heritage, public and commercial construction projects comprising new build, restoration and conservation works on projects ranging from $100k - $10m (plus), whilst utilising your expertise in estimation and cost planning to maximise profits to the company. Immediate start is available.
Key responsibilities:
Attending tender briefings and understanding client requirements.
Putting together detailed estimates and other project documentation for tenders/quotation.
Analysing project labour, materials and time requirements for accurate tenders/quotes.
Maintaining positive relationships with clients and their representatives, supervisors, consultants, trades people, contractors and suppliers.
Submission of quotations/tenders on or before due dates set by clients.
Ensuring all quotation details and documents are appropriately developed and presented using company standard software platforms and data base.
Compiling conforming and compelling tender submissions to demonstrate value for clients.
Monitoring and managing project programmes and quality project outcomes.
Presenting upon progressive and forecast project performances at meetings with senior management and clients.
Skills and competencies:
Minimum of 4 years experience in commercial/public sector estimating and tendering.
Technical and practical construction industry knowledge.
Competency in the use of estimating and construction management software and MS Office, inclusive of MS Project(R).
Degree or Tertiary Qualification in Building/Construction Management (desirable), or commensurate industry experience.
Excellent attention to detail and recognition of architectural design values in projects.
Strong communication, organisational and negotiating skills.
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
