Our client, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead critical financial operations and provide strategic support in a hands-on and purpose-driven environment.

As Finance Manager, you’ll play a central role in shaping the financial sustainability of the organisation, working closely with the CEO, leadership team and external stakeholders.

You’ll oversee strategic financial planning and risk; budgeting and forecasting; grant management; financial reporting and compliance; audit and governance; system and integration management - ensuring the organisation is supported by sound financial practices and strategic decision-making.
Qualifications and experience

• The suitable candidate will have 5+ years’ experience in a financial management role with a commercial mindset, strong understanding of accounting principles and finance regulations.
• Tertiary qualification in accounting or related field
• CA or CPA qualification
• Experience in a not-for-profit community organisation (desirable)

Knowledge and skills

• Proficiency in Xero, MS Office with extensive Excel skills
• Strong analytical, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills
• Proven leadership and staff management skills
• A strong business intelligence mindset, with a focus on delivering timely, meaningful insights to support effective decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills, especially when engaging with non-financial stakeholders
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present detailed reports
• The ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the achievement of team goals
• High integrity, ethical conduct, and a commitment to continuous improvement
