As a result of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to become a valuable member of our dynamic team. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Estimating & Bid Management, and your responsibilities will encompass the following:

Responsibilities

Review and produce precise cost estimates for various elements and trades.

Identify and assess project risks and issues, escalating them to senior management as necessary.

Conduct thorough handovers of successful tender submissions.

Measure and evaluate detailed quantities and price breakdowns for all project components.

Prepare feasibility estimates throughout different stages of the project, aligned with cost control procedures.

Participate in and report findings during design team, internal, and client meetings.

Perform technical and numerical checks on subcontractor tenders to support the procurement department.

Ensure the proper preparation and documentation of subcontract agreements.

Foster strong working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers/subcontractors.

Review and validate subcontractor tender information in collaboration with the project site team.

Provide detailed estimating information to the construction team for downstream applications, such as cash flow analysis, scheduling, and critical path management.

Enhance the expertise of the Estimating team, including taking on a mentoring role for participants in the Estimating Training Development Program.

Skills & experience:

A degree in Construction, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.

Proficiency in using Buildsoft (Cubit) and BidContender is a plus, though not mandatory.

Familiarity with the Sydney construction market and relationships with local subcontractors (preferably).

Demonstrated success in managing tenders for residential and commercial projects exceeding $30 million.

Strong administrative capabilities and exceptional written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
