PEOPLE & CULTURE ADMINISTRATOR | Part - Time (3 days)
Cafe Sydney is an iconic dining destination, celebrated for its elevated hospitality experience, dynamic team culture, and commitment to excellence over more than 25 years of operation.
As we continue to evolve, with over 150 employees and serving an average of 500 guests daily, we’re excited to welcome a Part-Time People & Culture Administrator (Generalist) to support the Head of People & Culture and help shape our HR practices for the future.
This role would suit someone with 1-2 years of experience in the People and Culture space and an interest in hospitality.
About the Role
The People & Culture function is in its growth phase, and this part-time role focuses on providing administrative support across key HR generalist areas, including recruitment, onboarding, the employee lifecycle, compliance, HRIS systems, and document management.
This hands-on, fast-paced role offers genuine opportunities for growth and is ideal for someone who is confident, organised, and eager to contribute and learn.
Unlike a conventional HR coordinator role in a corporate setting, this position offers valuable exposure to diverse situations, agile decision-making, and practical HR challenges specific to the hospitality industry.

Template & Document Management: Assist in creating and maintaining HR templates, standard forms, letters, and documents. Contribute to drafting and updating workplace policies and procedures.
Compliance Assistance: Support the compliance process, including adherence to regulatory legislation, performing internal spot checks and audits.
Immigration & Award Support: Learn and apply knowledge of the Restaurant Industry Award, Enterprise Agreement, and assist with immigration documentation. Gain familiarity with visa-related requirements, including our Immigration Labour Agreement.
Collaboration with Leadership: Work closely with senior leadership, including daily dealings with the CEO, Director of Operations, Executive Chef, Head of Finance, and Head of People & Culture.
