Daawat Indian Restaurant is a well-established restaurant known for its exceptional Indian dishes and outstanding service. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team.
Australian citizens and permanent residents are preferred.
The candidate must have :
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, knowledge of Indian cuisine, Ingredients and cooking techniques.
Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management would also be highly regarded.
Proficient of use of Tandoori Oven.
A high attention to details, initiative to get job done and desire to learn more and grow with a business.
Monitor preparation and service of items of our menu to a high standard.
Ability to plan menus for different cultural/dietary/allergen/requirements.
Ability to manage cooks and kitchenhands and work as part of team to create a safe and friendly work environment.
Ensure the storage of food and ingredients as per the health and safety standards.
Maintain the stock of supplies in the kitchen and order when necessary.
Assist in menu pricing, cost controlling and budgeting in coordination with the head chef and owners.
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to cultivate strong relationship in a team based environment.
May need to deal with customer requirements, appraisal and feedbacks.

Salary with benefits: $72,000 - $76,000 per annum plus superannuation as per prevalent regulation.
