Senior Pastry Chef – Immediate Start - Full Time

Madhouse Bakehouse is a family-owned Australian food manufacturing business and we have been creating delicious baked goods since 1997. Our products are sold to the wholesale, catering, foodservice and retail markets and we are dedicated to providing Australians with quality and delicious treats.

We have an exciting new opportunity available to join our growing team a senior pastry chef (Sous Chef). We are looking for someone who is a skilled pastry chef willing to support our production manager and help lead our team to create quality and consistent products for our loyal customers.

What we would love to see:

· Experience as a senior pastry chef with a talent and patience for preparing an extensive range of pastry products

· The ability to maintain high food standards and have a strong attention to detail when it comes to food quality and consistency

· Knowledge of HACCP or food handling certificate. Ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene are optimal at all times

· Assist the team in maintaining production plans in line with sales forecast and inventory targets

· Management of inventory levels against the production plan

· Assist with the implementation of new processes and continuous improvement across production lines

· Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills

· The training of your team and support to help them meet the daily production schedule with a 'can-do' attitude

· A lead by example attitude along with a positive and courteous demeanour towards your fellow colleagues

· Expected Salary (starting at) $70k + super, depending on experience
