Darwin Veterinary Hospital is a locally owned, small animal vet hospital positioned in the heart of tropical Darwin.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting our vets during consultations and surgeries

Providing exceptional nursing care to our furry patients

Monitoring anaesthesia and assisting with surgical prep and recovery

Maintaining medical records and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness

Offering kindness, reassurance, and education to pet owners

Being a vital and valued part of a fun, dedicated team

Who We’re Looking For:

1–2+ years’ experience in small animal nursing (veterinary qualifications are preferred, but not essential)

Comfortable with in-house laboratory work, radiography, and ultrasound

Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team

Excellent communication skills — you’ll be interacting with clients and our fun-loving team

Willingness to participate in shared on-call duties

Passion for animal welfare, with experience in handling a variety of animals (including wildlife)

Attention to detail and high standards in all aspects of patient care

Ability to navigate our vet software (a bonus, but not essential)

A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to think on your feet

Experience in customer service and client education
