Join Our Exceptional Team at Happy Paws Vet!
Are you a people loving vet nurse who thrives on building relationships and creating memorable client experiences? Then we’d love to meet you!
At Happy Paws, we are proud of our warm, talented, and collaborative team made up of 2 vets, 6 incredible nurses, and one fantastic receptionist. We're looking for a veterinary nurse who truly shines in client facing roles, someone who loves chatting with clients, offering advice, and being a friendly face (or voice!) they can count on.
If you're more excited about being "out the front" with the clients than "out the back" in the treatment area, this could be your perfect fit!
In this role, you’ll:
Assist our vets during consults by typing notes, gathering medications, performing blood tests and ear cleans, helping with restraint, and explaining treatment plans to clients
Conduct your own comprehensive nurse consults, including post op checks, dental checks, monthly injections, weight management, nutrition advice, bandage changes, nail trims and anal gland expression
Build meaningful connections with pet owners, offering tailored support and expert guidance to help their furry friends thrive
Bring your bubbly personality and love for conversation to each interaction creating a welcoming, upbeat environment for both clients and pets
What we’re looking for:
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technician Degree
Minimum 3 years of hands-on clinical experience in a vet practice
Confident with all core vet nurse clinical duties
A friendly, outgoing personality with a positive, growth-focused mindset
Strong communication skills (both spoken and written) and top notch customer service
Pride in your work, with great attention to detail
Empathy and resilience, you’re someone who brings compassion even on the tough days
Multitasking magic and the ability to handle competing priorities
A genuine team player who knows how to bring the good vibes and have a laugh
Someone who enjoys supporting people through their highs and their hard moments
Job Details:
Permanent part-time role
Minimum 26 hours/week, across Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Hours may increase to cover leave or support the team during busy periods
