We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Operations Coordinator to support the full employee lifecycle across the People and Culture team. This role involves coordinating recruitment activities, onboarding, learning and development, compliance, and wellbeing initiatives. You'll help maintain the accuracy of HR and Safety systems, ensure compliance with pre-employment and training requirements, and support process improvements. Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we’re committed to providing quality services across East Arnhem Land and enabling YolÅ‹u powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary and public health for over 6,000 residents of this remote landscape. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, and a Corporate Office in Darwin, our delivery is focused on 7 health centres across East Arnhem Land and dedicated outreach teams who travel to additional locations.
What we’re looking for in you!
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and the challenges faced by Yolngu people in remote communities. You’ll bring advanced administrative and organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism. Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management are essential, along with confidence in using the MS Office Suite and HR systems. Qualifications or experience in human resources or a related field are highly regarded.
