About Orange Family Support Service

Orange Family Support Service (OFSS) is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to develop skills and resilience in families. OFSS aim to empower parents to better manage their family situation and provide positive outcomes for their children.

At OFSS, we are currently seeking someone to fulfil a part time position of Family Caseworker up to 20 hours per week until the 1st August 2025 (with the possibility of extension). In addition, salary packaging (increase your take home pay!) is also available.

Key Responsibilities

• Case Management of families

• Planning and implementing a range of parenting/educational programs for families

• Home visits

• Advocacy

• Advice and support to parents in relation to child development and parenting

• Liaison and networking with other community agencies

• Preparation of case notes and maintenance of client files and routine paperwork

• General knowledge of Child Protection Legislation and other relevant regulations and agency policies and procedures

• Facilitation and co facilitation of parenting programs

• Providing transport to families for programs (motor vehicle provided for transport)

• Co ordinate referrals

• Attendance of staff meetings and planning days

• Accurate entry of data requirements

• Attending training and staff development activities as required

• Undergo clinical supervision

Our Ideal Candidate Will Meet the Following Selection Criteria:

• Tertiary qualification in community services or child services

• Experience in case work/case management

• Experience in facilitation of group programs

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Current NSW Driving Licence

• NSW Working with Children Check

• Criminal Record Check
