Due to ongoing demand in our innovative Aged Care nursing program, we are looking for a Regional Coordinator to support the Aged Care Nursing Clinical Placement Program. This is a full-time position based at Hunter Primary Care Head Office at Warabrook. The position reports to the Program Manager, Aged Care and involves:
- Face to face facilitation of nursing students
- Collaboration with team members to ensure effective coordination of the program
- Coordination of casual Clinical Facilitators
- Coaching/mentoring of Clinical facilitators
- Coordination of student clinical placements
- Building and maintaining relationships with Education Providers
- Building and maintaining relationships with Aged Care Providers
- Assist with reporting as requested by Program Manager
- Other duties as assigned by Program Manager
Essential Criteria:
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Min. five years clinical experience as a health professional.
- Post graduate qualification in relevant field
- Flexibility to travel and see students as necessary
- Sound understanding of the aged care sector
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with key stakeholders
- A passion to promote the rich and rewarding career pathways in gerontological nursing
- Current NDIS worker screening check
Desirable Criteria:
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training or equivalent
- Certificate of completion for Clinical Facilitation: Essential Skills and Principles
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team
This position is a Registered Nurse Level 2 position under the Hunter Primary Care Agreement 2021. Hunter Primary Care offers you:
