$40.02 β $44.87/hr + Super | Full-Time Contract to Dec 2025
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced People and Culture Officer to join a local council team based in Leichhardt. This full-time role runs through to 24 December 2025, with the potential for extension.
This is a great chance to support a dynamic People & Culture team in a community-focused organisation that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and high-quality internal service delivery.
About the Role
Working within a team environment and reporting to the Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you will provide administrative support and play an active role in delivering People & Culture services, information, and advice across the organisation.
You will build strong relationships with staff at all levels and be responsible for a wide range of day-to-day functions, including:
P&C lifecycle administration: Recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, probation tracking
Performance review and recognition: Supporting review cycles and reward & recognition admin
HR systems support: Administering, maintaining, testing and reporting on HRIS (TechOne or similar preferred)
General support: Preparing correspondence, processing forms and invoices, and supporting key P&C projects
Customer service: Responding to enquiries, providing advice, and assisting in the development and implementation of business processes to enhance the P&C function
This is a hands-on role within a Business Partner model that will suit someone highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident using HR systems in a fast-paced environment.

π° Rate: $40.02 β $44.87 per hour + super
π Hours: 38 per week, Monday to Friday
Key selection criteria:
Previous experience in an HR administrative or advisory role
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Experience using HR systems (TechOne HR module highly regarded)
A proactive, professional, and team-oriented approach
Excellent communication and customer service skills
