Orange Family Support Service (OFSS) is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to develop skills and resilience in families. OFSS aims to empower parents to better manage their family situation and provide positive outcomes for their children.
At OFSS, we are currently seeking someone to fulfill a part time position of Team Leader Case Work up to 24 hours per week until the 31st December 2025 (with the possibility of extension). In addition, salary packaging (increase your take home pay!) is also offered.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide guidance, support, assistance and supervision to the team employed by Orange Family Support Service
• Ensure personnel matters (time sheets, leave requests etc) are maintained
• Implement appropriate induction programs for new staff
• Support staff wellbeing by ensuring that all staff access regular clinical supervision
• Identify and facilitate appropriate professional development for all staff
• Monitor and coach individual’s and team’s outcomes/achievement/performance
• Provide operational or procedural direction and/or advice and ensure knowledge and information is shared with team members
• Facilitate staff meetings and effectively represent the team
• Monitor outputs and performance of the team and individual staff members using one-on-one discussion and team meetings
Clinical
• Supervise case management practices and monitor caseloads to ensure best possible outcomes for clients can be achieved
Management Committee
• Assist Management Committee members with the information required to effectively meet their responsibilities to ensure the integrity of the service
Reporting
• Prepare and present monthly and annual reports for the Management Committee and funding bodies
• Manage expenditure and ensure financial reports are completed and returned to funding bodies in accordance with guidelines
• Liaise with funding bodies and assist the Management Committee meet Program Standards and ensure data reporting requirements are met
Case Management1
• Work within a Strengths-Based framework
• Case Management of families
• Planning and implementing a range of parenting/educational programs for families
• Group facilitation
• Advocacy
• Advice and support to parents in relation to child development and parenting
• Liaising and networking with community service agencies including Non-Government Organisations (NGO) and Government Organisations
• Preparation of case notes, maintenance of client files, routine paperwork and accurate data entry
• Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and other relevant regulations and agency policies and procedures
• Provide transport to families for programs (motor vehicle provided for transport)
• Coordinate referrals both to and from Orange Family Support Service
• Undergo clinical supervision on at least 2 occasions per year
• Attend training and staff development activities as required
1 Case management is expected to consist of supporting other case workers as well as some active direct case load. This is anticipated to take up to time or 8 hours per week (based on 24 hours per week).
Our Ideal Candidate Will Meet the Following Selection Criteria:
• Tertiary qualifications in relevant services such as community services or child services
• Experience in case work or case management and group facilitation is essential
• Team leadership experience
• Current NSW Driving Licence
• Working with Children Check
• Criminal record check
• First Aid Training (will be provided in the workplace)
