Food & Beverage Team Leaders – Conference & Events & Boilerhouse Restaurant

We’re on the lookout for two passionate and experienced F&B Team Leaders to join our team at Q Station – One role will support our Conference & Events operations, while the other will assist in the Boilerhouse Restaurant. Both positions offer the exciting opportunity to work in a unique venue, alongside a passionate team, with breathtaking views and growth opportunities.
The Opportunity
In these roles, you’ll work alongside some of the most respected professionals in the hotel and hospitality industry. You’ll support the day-to-day operations of your outlet, supervise a team to deliver warm, consistent, and professional service, and help create memorable experiences for every guest.
Team Leader – Conference & Events
From elegant weddings and private celebrations to corporate conferences and bespoke events, you’ll work closely with the management team to help ensure everything runs smoothly – from room set-up to final drinks. You’ll assist in overseeing a small team during service, deliver great guest care, and step in where needed, including behind the bar.
Key requirements for this role:
- Must hold a current RSA and Food Safety Certificate (or obtain prior to starting)
- Must have a driver’s license
- Availability across weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Previous event/function experience - hotel experience is highly regarded
- Barista and bartending skills are advantageous
Team Leader – Boilerhouse Restaurant
As a key support to the management team at our premium waterfront restaurant, you’ll thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced dining environment. You’ll help oversee floor operations during service, support team coordination, and ensure every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable experience. From opening to close, your role is essential in maintaining service flow and upholding standards throughout each shift.
Key requirements for this role:
- Must hold a current RSA and Food Safety Certificate (or obtain prior to starting)
- Driving not essential, but transport is a plus
- Must be available and willing to open and close the venue as required
- Previous restaurant waitstaff experience is essential
- Bartending skills is advantageous
What You’ll Be Doing (both roles)
- Support management in overseeing the team during service and provide assistance as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Setting up and packing down spaces in line with operational guidelines
- Managing floor flow and responding to guest needs in real-time
- Supporting and training junior team members
- Opening and closing the outlet as required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional environment
- Communicating with the broader F&B team to ensure consistency of service
