About the role: This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional to take a step into a leadership role within a large payroll group. Along with assisting the every day payroll processing, this role will be heavily based around reconciling and simplifying the Payroll Tax, and mentoring/developing the rest of the payroll team, and be across multiple EBA's/Awards. This role will be an on going contract with a chance to extend long term, or go permanent.
The responsibilities: Reporting into the National Head of Payroll, the main responsibilities include:

1. Monthly Payroll Tax lodgement & reconciliation
2. Monthly Superannuation payments
3. Assisting with Single Touch Payroll file uploads each pay run
4. Managing Centrelink Paid Parental Leave payments
5. Maintaining & monitoring over payment register
6. Interpreting a number of EBAs/Awards
7. Assisting with reconciling wages clearing accounts
8. Day to day checking of payroll officer’s work and assisting them with general payroll question.
   

The successful applicant will have:

• A deep understanding of Payroll Legislation & Tax
• Experience using ADP Globalview is a high priority
• Ideally have experience leading & developing a payroll team
• Experience with payroll tax
• Excellent communications skills
• Be able to work in large, team environments
• Great leadership skills
