Are you an experienced Payroll specialist who is looking for a standalone role, where you can take full ownership of a payroll function?

Robert Half are proud to be working with a dynamic and forward-thinking business based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne to recruit a Payroll Manager.

Our client is an industry leader within Melbourne who proud of their friendly and inclusive working culture.

This is a full-time permanent position.

The role:

* Managing the end-to-end payroll processing for 500 employees
* Oversee and prepare statutory payments, PAYG, Superannuation, and payroll tax obligations
* Reconciliation of payroll system & General Ledger system
* Payroll account reconciliations
* General payroll administration including setting up new starters & processing terminations
* Process and pay monthly commission
* Work closely and collaborate with P&C team
* Dealing with any ad hoc queries
* Implement enhancements to streamline payroll processes and increase efficiency

Profile:

The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar role, as well as strong communication skills. The following attributes are also highly advantageous:

* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including tax, superannuation
