My client is an innovative leading provider of biomedical engineering products and tailored healthcare technology solutions across Australia. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, technically advanced solutions to hospitals, research institutions, and universities, they are expanding their footprint in New South Wales.
Due to sustained growth and an increasing demand for their services, they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team and take ownership of the Sydney and broader NSW territory.
The Role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, nurturing key relationships, and driving the sales of biomedical engineering products and solutions throughout Sydney and NSW.
The successful candidate will work closely with clinical, research, and technical stakeholders to offer customised solutions that improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and research capabilities.
Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to grow market share in NSW
Identify and build strong relationships with key decision-makers including biomedical engineers, clinicians, procurement teams, and academics
Drive the sales process from prospecting and lead generation through to proposal, negotiation, and closing
Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and on-site consultations
Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to inform business strategy
Collaborate with internal teams including technical support, product specialists, and marketing to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction
Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs
About You
3–5 years of experience in business development or B2B sales, ideally in biomedical engineering, medical devices, or healthcare technology
A degree in Biomedical Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field is highly regarded
Proven success in solution-based sales and relationship management, especially in the healthcare or research sectors
Strong commercial acumen and excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to translate complex technical information into compelling client solutions
Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working autonomously across a large territory
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout NSW
On Offer
Base salary of $110k - $130k (Can be negotiated)
Super at 11.5%
