Strata Community Association (SCA) is the peak industry body for Body Corporate and Community Title Management in Australia and New Zealand. SCA proudly fulfils the dual roles of a professional institute and consumer advocate. Our work is about bringing together professionals who understand the complex laws that govern strata/survey/strata property, with the people who live and work in strata communities. We provide education, accreditation, advice, and advocacy to enable greater understanding of the legislative environment and individuals’ rights and obligations.
Role Purpose:
Strata Community Association is seeking a high performing Operations Manager to provide high level support to the Association to ensure the successful delivery of the Association’s professional pathways engagement and brand awareness strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the Association’s Professional Standards Scheme.
Contribute your ideas to reach and engage with our internal and external stakeholders, and wider community.
Contribute to the ongoing review, development, and implementation of changes to improve the productivity and efficiency of the Association.
Work with the team to bring marketing strategies to life, and deliver on objectives.
Design and implement a program of services and benefits that will assist members to promote their accreditation, skills and experience as strata professionals to prospective clients; and assist them to achieve the Strata Management Practice Standard certification.
Oversee the delivery education programs to ensure education related objectives are met.
Oversee the delivery of sponsorship benefits to ensure SCA meets all obligations in accordance with sponsorship agreements.
Oversee the management of major events to ensure successful delivery.
Ensure current membership is retained and growth is achieved.
Work alongside the President and Board in maintaining close and collaborative working relationships with relevant government departments and other stakeholder groups.
Prepare all board meeting and committee meeting documentation and coordinate AGM documentation.
Oversee activity project budgets and work with the treasurer on financial reporting.
Provide ongoing mentorship for all staff and ensure staff have the tools needed to successfully fulfill their duties.

Savvy with administrative tasks with a high attention to detail.

You will have a range of the following essential skills and aptitudes:
Experience in a project management or senior administrative role
Experience as a team lead
Experience in marketing or business development, ideally in relation to professional membership associations
Experience managing multiple tasks with tight timeframes
Experience in collaborating with a team of varying capabilities and functions on various projects
Proven ability to anticipate and address changes to service delivery
Experience of working closely with a range of stakeholders
Collection and analysis of data to support ongoing service delivery improvements
Excellent IT literacy in standard office software packages, particularly with Excel, Zoom and MS Teams.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent numerical skills, ability to manage data, including analysis.
High standards of professional integrity
Have an ability to quickly acquire an understanding of an industry sector.
Our office is based in North Sydney, with hybrid opportunities for 1-2 days per week.
