Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and optimise our day-to-day operations. In this role, you will manage our customer service and technical support teams, coordinate stock control and ordering, supervise warehousing activities, and handle on-site client and installer-related concerns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to streamline processes in a rapidly evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and supervise the customer service and technical support teams to ensure high levels of performance and engagement.

• Set clear performance goals and KPIs for team members; monitor progress and implement improvements where necessary.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

2. Operations & Process Optimisation

• Oversee all operational activities, including stock control, stock ordering, and warehousing.

• Develop and maintain efficient workflows for inventory management, minimising discrepancies and shortages.

• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline processes and reduce operational costs.

3. Client & Installer Relations

• Serve as the primary escalation point for on-site client issues, collaborating with internal teams to resolve problems swiftly and effectively.

• Coordinate with solar installers, ensuring their requirements are met, relevant regulations are observed, and project timelines are maintained.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, installers, and other key stakeholders to promote RenewCo Solar’s brand and service excellence.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure that all operational processes comply with relevant Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and environmental regulations.

• Monitor and maintain product quality standards, working with suppliers to address any concerns.

• Identify areas of operational risk and implement strategies for mitigation.

5. Strategic Planning & Reporting

• Collaborate with senior management to develop operational strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives.

• Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, including metrics on team efficiency, customer satisfaction, stock turnover, and budget adherence.

• Contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in operations management, ideally in the renewable energy or a closely related sector.

• Demonstrated success in leading teams, optimising workflows, and implementing process improvements.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software.

• Familiarity with CRM platforms for customer service and support.

• Knowledge of solar energy systems and industry standards is highly regarded.

• Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, with a proven track record of motivating and developing diverse teams.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly under time constraints.

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration across various teams and stakeholders.
