Motel Management Opportunity for a management team of two or a sole operator – Live and work only an hour and 20 minutes away from Melbourne CBD.

Located less than a 10-minute drive from the Puckapunyal army base, this 26-key motel is conveniently located close to the Seymour Town Centre, Railway Station, and across the road from the Goulburn River, where there are beautiful walking tracks and great river access.
Positioned as the best in town, this 4-star motel has spacious and comfortable rooms and executive self-contained apartments catering to the regular weekday corporate guests. Excellent online ratings have also made it popular with tourists and travellers.

About the role
This hands-on motel management position is pivotal in ensuring smooth daily operations, maximising Average Daily Rate (ADR) and occupancy levels, and maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Working closely with the owners, you will play a major role in driving business success while delivering exceptional service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Guest services and reception: Manage guest check-ins, inquiries, and bookings with professionalism and a warm welcome
Revenue management: Monitor and adjust room rates in response to local events in liaison with the owners
Administration: Respond to guest feedback, manage stock orders and inventory, and maintain operational records
Property operations: Oversee housekeeping, ordering and stocktaking of all linen and towelling, basic room and property maintenance, pool care, and grounds upkeep
Compliance and safety: Ensure adherence to Work Health & Safety (WHS), fire regulations, licensing, and essential service requirements
Trade and contractor liaison: Organise and coordinate external maintenance services when needed
To be successful, you must have:
Proven hands-on motel management experience (or similar accommodation industry experience)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of guests and stakeholders
Sound working knowledge of common computer tools such as PMS - Update247 & RMS Cloud, Microsoft Office, Xero (or similar accounting software), and a working knowledge of channel management would be highly regarded
Experience working with online travel agencies (OTAs), including Booking.com and Expedia
Ability to live onsite, work weekends and public holidays
Victorian Responsible Person for Liquor License (no bar, only simple container-based alcohol sales from the fridge in reception)
A current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Willingness to participate in an online quiz if shortlisted
