Our Client

Our client offers a range of timber processes, including sanding, coating, scorching, and laminating. They do custom machining of any timber profile in large or small volumes.

They are seeking to employ a switched-on Warehouse Team Leader who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of warehouse operations.

About the Role:

· Monday - Friday

· 7.30 am to 4 pm

· $ 75, 000 to $80,000 + Super

· KPI bonus of 9.5% of the annual package (Quarterly)

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to

· Mentor and guide store personnel in all aspects of warehousing.

· Maintain and enforce all policies and procedures.

· Communicate with the Dispatch Coordinator regarding issues and delays.

· Delegate tasks to team members effectively and manage the day-to-day activities of your team.

· Organize and stage all outbound loads for efficient turnaround time of outbound trucks.

· Report any damage to incoming materials or equipment immediately.

· Clear inbound stock daily (including PWMS), where applicable.

· Clear sorted packs from the sorting area.

· Maintain stock control by ensuring row accuracy, including in bulk areas and the driveway.

· Ensure stock is properly labeled.

· Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items.

· Consolidate stock to create more space for inbound materials, including merging/amalgamating packs.

· Operate forklifts as required.

· Enforce daily MHE checks (e.g., tires, lights, water, grease, horn).

· Load and unload trucks when required.

· Adapt to changes in company policies and procedures.

· Maintain communication with the PIT and customers.

· Lead the team toward achieving desired daily outcomes.

· Contribute to the company’s growth by fostering a successful team.

· Perform other yard duties as required.

· Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

· Report MHE or property damage immediately.

· Deliver materials/equipment/items to work areas as needed.

Required Skills

· 3-5 years in warehousing/logistics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

· Forklift license

· Experience with material-handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks)

· Stock control and inventory management experience

· Dispatch or coordination experience (preferred)

· Leadership and team management

· Strong communication skills

· Problem-solving and decision-making

· Organizational and time management skills

· Attention to detail
