We are recruiting for two positions, Wilberforce in Sydney, NSW and Brisbane, Queensland

Primary purpose of the role

The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for providing leadership to the Warehouse Material Handlers, Truck Drivers, Forklift Operators and Administration staff whilst overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods including plaster and cornice products. This role ensures that productivity targets are met and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly for Allplasta Pty Ltd and its subsidiary companies.

Key accountabilities

Ensure accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are adequate to meet production and customer demands.

Supervise and lead warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Ensure all warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Manage the warehouse budget, including labour, equipment, and supplies.

Safely operating machinery, vehicles and forklift equipment according to Allplasta Pty Ltd policies and procedures (if licenced).

Labour requirement to manually load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.

Communicating effectively with team members and team leaders and colleagues to coordinate workflow and address any issues.

Job tasks

Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.

Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures.

Train and supervise warehouse staff.

Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment.

Coordinate with production and sales teams to ensure timely delivery of products.

Prepare and manage the warehouse budget.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues related to warehouse operations.

Keeping updated records of inventory and activity logs. Accurate inventory management prevents overstocking and understocking situations.

Comply with Allplasta Pty Ltd policies and guidelines. Safety is paramount, you are required to follow safety protocols while operating the forklift is critical.

Handle ad-hoc tasks as required.
