The multi award winning Beyond the Classroom is expanding and looking for Program Coordinators to join the team.

An exciting opportunity has evolved to join the team as Program Coordinator. Multiple Full time or part time positions are available coordinating Mountain Bike Programs, Kayak Programs and our own Willow Creek Adventure Camp.

The Program Coordinator is an integral part of the operations team. The ideal candidate will have:

The successful candidate for this challenging and rewarding position/s will be responsible for the coordination of outdoor education activities and programs. Working closely with the Program Manager, you will focus on organising, coordinating, and facilitating outdoor education camps and programs.

The position/s will involve both time in the field and in the office offering great variety and opportunities for career growth.

Program Coordinator Job Duties:

Works with the Program Manager to develop camp programs and itineraries

Supports the Administration team in the creation of itineraries and programs

Manages communication with suppliers and staff, addressing emails and phone inquiries

Coordinate and develop the outdoor education facilitators in the team

Liaises with clients on programs

Drives innovation, continuous improvement, and the development of current and new products and systems

Supports staff rostering, coordination, and logistics

Coordinates the management of Willow Creek Adventure Campsite

Coordinates the management and maintenance of activity equipment

Deliver exceptional experiences that maintain and grow our client base

Develop, monitor, maintain and update systems and operational manuals

Program Coordinator Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in outdoor education

Meticulous attention to detail

Capacity to work independently

Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Exceptional communication and customer service skills

Technical qualifications in outdoor education disciplines

Ability to manage and coordinate outdoor education facilitators

Ability to multitask

Beyond the Classroom run a wide range of adventure based activities in South Australia including surf lessons, mountain biking, abseiling, kayaking, bushwalking, adventure tourism and outdoor education activities and camps. The business operates 3 exclusive campsites, Willow Creek Adventure Camp near Victor Harbor, Narnu Farm on Hindmarsh Island, and Camp Illawonga at Swan Reach. The successful applicant will have extensive outdoor education experience, and ideally have instructor qualifications / experience in relevant outdoor education discipline.

Beyond the Classroom is located on the Fleurieu Peninsula with the main office in Middleton, Depot in Willunga and Willow Creek Adventure Camp near Victor Harbor.
