About the role
Kidney Health Australia’s primary care program aims to promote the early detection and best practice management of kidney disease and linked conditions to health professionals working in primary care settings. We do this through the developing educational content, the delivery of educational workshops, training, guidelines, resources and practice tools, and programs for Primary Care health professionals (GPs, nurses, pharmacists, Aboriginal health workers and others). This work is part of a key pillar in our 25-year aspiration to End Dialysis by 2050.
The Primary Care Program Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of our primary care education program. This involves coordinating the planning, development, promotion, implementation, evaluation and reporting for our primary care workshops and resources for health professionals and consumers at a national level. The incumbent will work collaboratively with an experienced and passionate team.
Key Responsibilities include:
Coordinate the delivery of the primary care education program
Promotion of Kidney Health Australia’s educational services and resources to potential host organisations
Coordinating all aspects of education events from bookings, engaging and briefing expert presenters, education accreditation, preparation of workshop materials, evaluation and reporting
Liaising with workshop hosts and speakers from the initial enquiry until completion of evaluation reports
Maintain accurate activity and evaluation data and undertake program reporting to inform future program decisions and accreditation reporting requirements.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders necessary for the effective delivery of the primary care program.
Education Accreditation
Complete training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) to obtain/ maintain CPD representative status.
Ensure all Kidney Health Australia education meets the requirements of accrediting bodies (RACGP, ACRRM, APNA, AMA CPDHome, PSA, and NATSIWAP) and that required processes are adhered to, including meeting reporting timeframes.
Explain and promote Kidney Health Australia accreditation services to potential education hosts.
Advise KHA team of requirements for accreditation and ensure that all educational content and program delivery adheres to accreditation standards.
Review and update clinical resources and tools and educational modules.
Coordinate the review of and required updates for Kidney Health Australia clinical and consumer resources, education and website content.
Review modules and materials as required to make sure they are kept up to date and reflect best practice recommendations.
Coordinate the promotion, sales and distribution of Kidney Health Australia clinical and consumer resources.
Primary Care Projects
· Collaborate with other team members on the delivery of primary care projects and initiatives.
Qualifications / Experience
Essential:
Tertiary qualifications in health / social sciences / education or other relevant discipline or experience within a similar role in a health organisation
Desirable:
Experience working in health (primary care), education or sciences
Knowledge of current kidney and urinary tract disease-related management and prevention strategies
Knowledge of the primary care environment and processes and systems used to manage chronic diseases.
Website CMS content management.
· Power BI and Google Analytics reporting experience.
To be successful in this role you will have:
High level oral and written communication skills –able to communicate effectively and confidently via email and phone and in person.
High level of computer skills in Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Dynamics 365, Zoom & Zoom webinars, MS Teams.
Proven organisational and time-management skills
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks in a changing environment
Ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work effectively both within a team and autonomously and contribute to a positive team environment.

Remuneration
The FTE remuneration is $75,000 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation.
