• Up to $85 per hour depending on experience

Client

Our client is a rapidly growing organisation based in the Southern region of Sydney, committed to delivering high-quality services that positively impact the communities they serve. With over 250 active projects under various commercial models—including schedule-based, lump sum, and fixed-price agreements—they operate in a multifaceted environment that includes both operational delivery and strategic management services. The business also features a joint venture (JV) structure, adding an additional layer of complexity to financial reporting, analysis, and overall operational oversight.

The Role

The FP&A role is being introduced to strengthen financial planning and analysis capabilities in line with company growth and JV requirements. The role will help optimise financial decision-making, improve cost efficiencies, and enhance project profitability analysis. You will report directly to the Finance Lead and work closely with the finance operations team and support senior management with strategic insights. Day to day you will be responsible for:

• Financial Planning & Forecasting
• Budgeting & Variance Analysis
• Project-Based Financial Analysis
• Joint Venture (JV) Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Strategic Decision Support
• Process & Systems Improvement

You will Ideally Have:

• Strong background in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), ideally within project-based industries.
• Experience in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
• Understanding of contract-based revenue models (schedule of rates, lump sum, fixed-price).
• Exposure to joint venture accounting (preferred but not mandatory).
• Advanced skills in Power BI, Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization.
• Strong communication skills to work with senior finance leadership, project managers, and JV partners.
