Senior Project Manager (AO7) – Digital Solutions

Be a part of Queensland’s digital future! We’re looking for a skilled Senior Project Manager to join the Digital Solutions Team within the Reporting, Information and Digital Solutions directorate. You’ll play a key role in leading high-impact projects that support the digital transformation of Fisheries Queensland systems and services.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and advise on software development, data architecture, and digital system operations aligned with strategic goals.
• Establish and implement robust project governance frameworks to ensure compliance with legislation and departmental standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align project delivery with operational needs and strategic direction.
• Coordinate working groups, prepare reports and agendas, and present updates that meet Queensland Government project management standards.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure delivery on time and within budget.
• Identify critical issues and drive resolution while maintaining clear communication and accountability.
• Support system implementation by coordinating training materials and end-user readiness.
• Work closely with the Technical Lead to oversee daily operations, team development, and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

• Demonstrated experience in project management, ideally in a digital or government setting
• Proven ability to lead productive and functional teams
• Solid understanding of digital environments and system delivery
