About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts & Administration Officer to join our finance team. In this diverse role, you’ll support the Finance Manager in day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks including reconciliations, reporting, payroll support, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing monthly management reports

Perform weekly bank reconciliations & monitor online payment gateways

Prepare store monthly budgets and calculate sales incentives

Manage petty cash and support the Accounts Payable/Receivable functions

Assist with new employee payroll setup and fortnightly timesheet administration

Compile weekly store performance reports for the Head of Retail

Raise purchase orders for our Homeware stock purchases

Contribute to year-end financial tasks

Ensure compliance with OHS policies and procedures

Perform additional ad-hoc administrative and finance duties as required

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications in Accounting or Finance (completed or in progress), or relevant work experience

Experience with general ledger and reconciliation processes

1+ years’ experience using Xero

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Experience with Shopify (highly regarded)

High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

A team-player mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments

Prior experience in retail or wholesale industries (preferred)
