- Maximum term Contract - Full Time - 5 Months approx. Extension may occur, depending on circumstances
- Salary: $69,081 pa (pro rata) + super + allowance + 9 day fortnight
- Location: Croydon

An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced individual who has a passion in parks and gardens maintenance field to step into a temporary role, backfilling parental leave.
The Horticultural Equipment Operator reports directly to the Supervisor Parks Maintenance and is responsible for maintenance of Council facilities and open spaces including tree planting, landscaping, mowing and General maintenance of parks, gardens, reserves, roadsides, road medians and paths on Councils Parks and Facility maintenance programs (an ongoing cyclical program.) Maintenance is carried out via a Medium rigid truck, trailer and ride on mower.
To be successful you will need:
- Year 10 or 11 certificate 11 Basic Vocational training or equivalent.
- A Medium rigid truck License - Essential
- Working with Children Check ID Card - current.
- Demonstrated experience in horticultural maintenance or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of high-profile gardens and lawn areas.
- Demonstrated experience in the safe operation and maintenance of specialised horticultural equipment.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external stake holders i.e., management, employees, external stake holders, general public and service authorities.
