Account Executive

SALT have partnered with a rapidly growing SaaS company that have grown from 350 employees to 1400+ in the last 6 years globally and have continuous growth plans.

Cutting edge, complex management and sustainability SaaS product.

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to join the high performing sales team in Sydney and drive new logo acquisition across the ANZ region.

Role Overview:

The Account Executive will drive sales growth of our client's solutions and services. They will be supported by BDR's and Presales support roles however will be responsible for all stages of the sales cycle. Critical thinking is key as the AE will work directly with prospects to understand their technical and business challenges and identify ways to apply our client solutions to resolve those challenges. Identifying opportunities to cross sell across or clients product suite is also key to being successful in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic growth plan tailored to your assigned territory
  • Manage and progress a robust sales pipeline to consistently meet or surpass your sales targets
  • Oversee the full sales process - from initial outreach through to closing deals
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all client products and services
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Customer Success, and Business Development teams to explore new business opportunities, including client meetings and product demonstrations
  • Partner with Technical and Delivery teams to showcase solutions and gather customer requirements
  • Ensure a seamless transition for clients from sales closure to the implementation phase
  • Coordinate with the Professional Services team to facilitate smooth handovers of new projects
  • Work collaboratively within a broader sales team, including Business Development Representatives and Pre-Sales Engineers
  • Maintain accurate records and analyse activity using our sales operations platforms
  • Deliver compelling online product demos to potential customers
  • Share insights and propose improvements to shorten sales cycles, drive revenue, and strengthen the company's market presence
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience in enterprise sales and a proven record of exceeding targets
  • Background in SaaS sales is highly desirable
  • Exceptional communication skills, including active listening, written, verbal, and presentation abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Confident in explaining complex technology to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms
  • Self-starter with a strong drive for results
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Skilled at multitasking, prioritising, and managing time efficiently
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proven success in lead generation and cold-calling
  • Resilient with strong negotiation skills and the ability to overcome objections to achieve sales goals
  • Familiarity with established sales methodologies is a plus
