We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Quality Assurance Advisor (HSEQ Advisor), to join our Operations team from our Emu Plains Branch.
What the role entails:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Quality Assurance Advisor (HSEQ Advisor) will:
Coordinates with other departments on design and construction of new equipment, facilities, and work methods to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
Maintenance of ISO 9001 Accreditation
Report and correct deficiencies in the quality system
Amend and issue Quality manuals, procedures and work instructions
Coordinate all Batch tests to support Sales orders
Measuring Equipment & Scales Calibration - Ensure Calibration is up to date
Manage the NCR register
Manage, Act upon, investigate and follow up on non-conformances – Internal and External
Perform internal and 3rd party accredited assessments
Submit sustainability questionnaires
Develop sustainability policies and make suggestions for future projects
Develops, implements, and monitors safety programs to reduce frequency of accidents and injuries; assists in minimizing overall workers’ compensation costs.
Develops and implements safety training programs designed to instruct employees in general safe work practices plus specific instruction with regard to hazards unique to any job assignment; provides training for new employees.
Performs scheduled periodic inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and work practices, improve workplace operations, and control hazards.
Investigates all accidents and injuries; recommends and/or coordinates corrective actions.
Plans, implements, communicates, and monitors safety policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal WHS rules and regulations.
What we are looking for:
Background in, or a strong understanding of state and National WHS Regulations
2-3 years experience in a similar role
Tertiary qualifications related to Safety, Quality or Environment
Sound understanding of a manufacturing environment
Communicate effectively and with influence with all levels of the organization. This includes being able to clearly articulate ideas, provide feedback, and explain complex concepts in a simple manner.
Think strategically and provide guidance and direction to the team. This includes identifying opportunities for improvement, developing strategies to achieve business objectives, and providing innovative solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and complex scenarios
Drive collaboration across business stakeholders, understand their needs and identify opportunities for process improvement
