This role requires a collaborative style working closely with our people, project managers and client project leaders to uphold standards and expectations across multiple work fronts. The successful candidates will be proactive in participating in incident and event investigations; and determining HSEQ solutions.

The site HSEQ Advisors will report to the HSEQT Manager and be responsible for:

Working with project and line management to assist with the implementation of the company’s HSEQ Management Plan

Liaising with client representatives to ensure all compliance documentation is current and correct in consultation with HSEQ and Project Manager

Monitoring site activities for compliance with HSEMP system

Delivering onsite training and ensuring adherence to our clients HSEQ requirements

Participating in HSEQ investigations

Conducting pre-start and toolbox meetings

Promoting HSE awareness across the site and provide visible site safety leadership

inputting and analysing safety data, statistics and creating reports

The successful candidate shall possess:

Tertiary qualifications in health and safety (minimum Cert IV)

Incident investigation qualifications (ICAM / Taproot Investigation Training)

First Aid qualifications (minimum Provide First Aid with current CPR)

Training and Assessment qualifications (minimum Cert IV essential)

OHS Construction Industry Card

4WD Certificate

RIO Tinto Inductions (Desirable)

Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office and safety reporting software)

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a HSE Advisor or equivalent in mining/civil industry

The location and roster:

Permanent position

Fly-in fly-out 8:6 roster from Perth.
