About the Role
The Senior Advisor Learning Assurance plays a vital role in maintaining compliance and quality assurance within the RFS Registered Training Organisation (RTO). This role ensures that robust systems and processes uphold the quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance of our training programs - helping equip both volunteers and staff with the skills they need to work safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert support on Learning & Development (L&D) enquiries, and oversee the Student Management System (SMS), ensuring compliance with RTO regulatory frameworks.
- Guide trainers and assessors on SMS best practices and validate learning products.
- Ensure online learning materials remain current, accurate, and compliant.
- Identify compliance risks and develop effective mitigation strategies with the Supervisor of Learning Assurance.
- Conduct audits, validations, and quality assurance reviews.
- Support internal policy and procedure reviews, as well as data analysis activities such as AVETMISS and Aggregate reporting.
- Assist with quality improvement (QI) survey requirements.
- Lead pre- and post-assessment validation activities.
- Perform online course testing and evaluation.
About You
- Proven experience with RTO regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- A strong eye for detail, with the ability to identify and correct errors in systems and processes.
- The ability to problem solve with a customer-centric approach and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Confidence in using and managing IT systems such as SAP LSO/SAP GUI, Moodle, NCVER data reporting and USI portal.
- A proactive and team-oriented mindset, with excellent time management skills.
- The ability to adapt and drive continuous learning excellence.
- An understanding of emergency services or experience in a similar sector (desirable).
