We are looking for an assistant co-ordinator 3-4 days during the week to support and assist our current Co-ordinator and account manager. We are looking for someone who believes in our vision, is obsessed with providing good customer service and ensuring our schedule runs smoothly. Attention to detail, organisation and a can-do attitude are key characteristics for this role! YOU will be the first point of call for our clientele, so great communication and a friendly demeanour is a must!

This role would suit a hairdresser who loves the industry but no longer wants to be on the floor or if you have a customer service background in the beauty industry who thrives in a structured environment but is also flexible and able to adapt to the ever-changing, dynamic nature of salon life. Experience with social media would be highly beneficial.

ABOUT YOU

Our assistant co-ordinator role requires excellent customer service in order to build a strong rapport and provide potential clients with all relevant information about our services. The main purpose of the role is to assist our team in attracting and increase quality bookings. This means making bookings, taking deposits and structuring our hairdressers day for efficiency and success. Your team and our management team will work together to create a smooth running salon for everyone to enjoy.

You will work from our Hope Island salon within its office located above. You will handle bookings over the phone and via our social media for all salons. We are known for our friendliness, and we would need you to value this just as much as we do.

We are looking for someone that has a thirst for exceeding and getting things done. Organisation is key, along with being someone who is excited by checking off a to-do list. A great listener with the ability to make people feel instantly at ease with exceptional communication skills is a must. Just like our team, our clients are like our family!

Applicants MUST have the following;

Hairdressing or beauty industry experience is preferred but not necessary, as we need someone who can speak to clients as a hairdresser and advise them on which services to book and understand timing.

Must be efficient in iMac & iPhone systems

Familiar with social media usage such as instagram and facebook

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, solve problems, manage and meet deadlines and maintain a high quality of work

Be very neat and organised in all areas of your work

Prioritise tasks, follow up and focus extreme attention to detail.

Exceptional personal presentation and hygiene

Posses excellent spelling and grammar skills

Experience in a customer service role
