About the Role
The role reports to the Team Leader Leasing and Licensing and is responsible for lease and license preparation/administration, lease renewals, accurate maintenance of Council lease and licensing register, providing weekly reports to the Team Leader and supporting the Head of Property on strategic property management and investment matters as and when required.

• Prepare ELT and Council briefing papers and reports
• Assist in the preparation of requisitions, purchase orders and monthly budgeting reports
• Co-ordinate the recovery of financial charges linked under all lease and licenses.
• Other duties to support the lease and licensing team and/or the Property Department

Skills & Experience
• Relevant qualification in property management, asset management and/or project management.
• Demonstrable experience in lease management and administration in Local Government or similar environment.
• Proven experience in managing and administering property related transactions including leases, licenses, transfer of land, contract of sale and other agreements, and relevant legislative processes in accordance with Local Government Act 2020, Retail Leases Act 2003 and Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978.
• Demonstrated expertise and experience in the negotiation and preparation of leases and licenses to achieve community and commercial outcomes
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communications skills, relationship building skills and proven ability to work as a team member.
