THE COMPANY

Our client is a reputable commercial electrical company, providing services since 2001. They specialise in commercial installations, repairs, maintenance, data, compliance testing and tagging, RCDs and emergency lighting for a diverse range of clients.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This company is experiencing growth and seeking a qualified electrician with extensive experience in commercial electrical work. You will work both independently and with the Managing Director in a supportive and friendly team environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Service range of commercial and domestic Gold Coast, Logan City and Brisbane clients

Carry out electrical work in line with company requirements and processes

Complete maintenance and repair work to a high standard

Install minor electrical equipment

Repair and maintain single-phase and three-phase systems

Perform compliance testing and tagging of all portable electrical equipment

Install and test emergency lighting, exit signs, and RCDs

Conduct cabling and data installations

Investigate equipment failure/malfunction and implement repairs

Perform fault finding and testing

Assist with other maintenance requirements

Work safely, adhering to company and legislative safety procedures

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Electrician with a minimum of 5+ years in a commercial and domestic maintenance electrician role

Experience in commercial electrical maintenance, cabling, and data

Strong understanding of AS3000 and OHS&E requirements

Police and Working with Children checks (or willingness to obtain)

Current clean QLD Driver’s License

Blue Card (desired, not essential)

Current CPR Certificate

Ability to work independently and within a team and supervise apprentices and trades assistants

Excellent client communication and customer relationship skills

Computer literacy and effective communication skills
