Who are we? Smart Apprenticeship Solutions, a leader in Group Training with over 40 years of experience, is seeking an Employment Officer to join our team in Ormeau. With a strong focus on selling the Group Training concept, recruiting and managing apprentices and nurturing relationships with Host Employers, this role requires someone with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

This position is full time based out of our Ormeau office and will require you to be on the road using your company provided vehicle. Job position training for the successful candidate will be at the Ormeau office for up to 2 weeks during the first few months of commencing the position.

So, what would a typical day look like for an Employment Field Officer?

• Sell the Group Training concept to potential Host Employers and apprentices, highlighting the benefits and value it provides.
• Recruit and manage a portfolio of apprentices, ensuring their needs are met, and providing ongoing support and guidance.
• Mentor apprentices, helping them develop their skills and achieve their career objectives.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with Host Employers, ensuring their satisfaction with our services and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
• Demonstrate empathy and understanding when dealing with individuals, understanding their unique circumstances and providing tailored solutions.

What do you need to get your hands on this opportunity?

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with a diverse range of individuals.
• Valid driver's license .
• Ability to obtain a Blue Card and National Police Check.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively sell the Group Training concept.
• Previous experience in recruitment, preferably within the apprenticeship or vocational training industry.
• Desirable experience in a trade and achieving your trade qualification through the apprenticeship system is highly regarded.
