FUNCTION COORDINATOR ROLE

Hamilton Hotel is located in Hamilton on the Banks of the Brisbane River.
We are a large function venue with 3 private function rooms and multiple semi private spaces.
We service all types of functions from corporates, birthdays, large music gigs, and car park festivals to name a few.

We are currently recruiting for a Functions Coordinator to join our team at the Hamilton Hotel.
Your role would include a mix of functions administration support and executing functions on the floor.

This is a varied role that will see you manage and execute a variety of functions and events from small to large.
Our largest function room holding 700 guests.
You will report to the functions manager and work with a team of staff to bring the customers visions together on the day. We want you to deliver an amazing experience for our guests who have booked functions with us.

Key Duties

Executing and delivering functions, from set up to pack down, including staff supervision during the event

Plan, facilitate and oversea logistics

Ensure functions are delivered to a impeccable standard

Assistance in the office with social media marketing, maintaining the website and Point of Sale around the venue

General Hotel administration ie Answering the phone.

Staff Supervision - Overseeing and coordinating a functions team of up to 6 staff

Assisting bistro during quiet periods

What you will require

RSA required.

Experience in Food and Beverage handling and have worked 2 year minimum behind a bar and bistro.
Previous function’s experience is highly regarded.

Experience Managing staff in a fast paced environment.

This role is hands on and will require someone with a good level of physical fitness.

Great attention to detail and ability to muti-task and prioritise.

A passion for delivering high customer service.

Good time management.

The ability to forward plan.

Strong Communication skills with the Head Chef.

Strong communication skills, reporting to the Functions Manager and Management Team.

Social media savvy a bonus.

Work well under pressure.

Training on Ivvy Functions system provided.
