Aus Link Transport, with a team of over 50 employees and subcontractors and a growing portfolio of innovative startups—including container homes, nanoparticle applications, and a landing pad for Sri Lankan, Indian, and Asian ventures in AI technology & Cyber Security —is seeking a Startups Growth Manager.
We are looking for a visionary thinker with a strong background in sustainability, social enterprise frameworks, and policy development in innovative startups.
You will work closely with our leadership to shape strategic directions, optimize internal systems, and guide multiple emerging ventures toward sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Roadmaps & Policy Alignment
- Develop high-level strategic plans for new and existing startups, ensuring alignment with local legislative frameworks and global best practices.
- Advise on policy reforms, drawing on experience collaborating with Global Wealth Funds, Policy Making Institutions, Foreign Parliaments, and industry bodies to enhance regulatory compliance and business efficiency.
2. Organizational Evaluation & Optimization
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of business operations, identifying policy gaps and process inefficiencies.
- Recommend structural improvements—reporting lines, resource allocation, and workflow enhancements—to boost productivity and stakeholder satisfaction.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Consultation
- Facilitate dialogues with government bodies, investors, and cross-border partners, addressing market-entry barriers and promoting responsible capitalism.
- Provide evidence-based policy briefs, market analyses, and strategic updates for boards, parliamentary committees, and task forces.
4. Research, Reporting & Compliance
- Lead or contribute to the authorship of in-depth reports on operational workflows, legislative impacts, and feasibility studies for emerging technologies and new market sectors.
- Monitor ongoing compliance with national and international standards, offering real-time advice to maintain governance and risk management best practices.
5. Proposal Development & Implementation
- Prepare forward-looking proposals to secure funding, form impact funds, and attract international collaborations.
- Oversee the rollout of approved recommendations, ensuring continuous improvement through training, leadership development, and clear performance metrics.
6. Sustainability & Social Enterprise Communication Development for All Startups under management
- Integrate sustainable business models and social entrepreneurship methodologies (e.g., design-thinking canvases) into startup strategy.
- Champion inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystems, leveraging frameworks like the National Social Enterprise Framework (NSEF) and ability to use Startup Frameworks to develop diversity in ventures.
Requirements
1. Educational Background
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Economics, Management, Business Administration, International Development, or a related field.
2. Relevant Experience
5–8 years of combined work experience in multiple countries across Asia and middle east in economics, management consulting, policy advisement, or organizational development, including demonstrable work in sustainability and social enterprise.
Proven track record working with policy, government bodies, tenures in International Governments, parliaments, and industry bodies is a significant advantage.
3. Sustainability & Social Impact Expertise
Deep understanding of International Development, Field Technologies, Sustainability, social entrepreneurship models, sustainability frameworks, and responsible business practices.
Experience drafting and implementing strategies that balance profit with social value creation.
4. Analytical & Strategic Thinking
Ability to conduct thorough organizational audits, identify bottlenecks, and propose data-driven solutions.
Experience in policy reform consultations, particularly for business-climate improvements.
5. Communication & Collaboration
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise across corporate and government entities, community organizations, and private-sector partners.
Demonstrated experience in writing comprehensive reports, guiding strategic committees, and coordinating multi-stakeholder projects.
6. Entrepreneurial Mindset
Familiarity with emerging technology sectors (e.g., AI, nano-particle applications) and a passion for facilitating cross-border startup ecosystems.
Ability to navigate culturally diverse teams and international business environments.
