About the Role
We are seeking an experienced international recruitment leader with a strong track record in Southeast Asia to spearhead our regional growth. Based at our Sydney or Melbourne campus, you will leverage your regional expertise, networks, and cultural fluency to lead recruitment, marketing, and business development initiatives across key Southeast Asian markets.
Your responsibilities will include leading the strategy and execution of student recruitment, conversion, and partnership development, representing CQUniversity at major events, and collaborating with global partners to strengthen our international presence. Success in this role will require deep knowledge of Southeast Asian education systems, extensive agent and partner networks, and the ability to translate market insights into action.
This role requires strong business expertise, exceptional communication, negotiation and leadership skills, and a deep understanding of international education markets. You will provide strategic advice and performance data to senior leadership, undertake specialist market research, and build sustainable partnerships that enhance CQUniversity’s international footprint.

Position Requirements
A relevant degree (or post-degree professional marketing qualification) with 4+ years’ experience in international business development, recruitment or marketing.
Proven success in international student recruitment and achieving enrolment targets within the higher education sector, with extensive offshore recruitment experience in the SEA region.
Demonstrates exceptional sales, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across Southeast Asian markets.
Strong leadership skills with experience leading and developing high-performing international recruitment teams.
Knowledge of international education systems, Australian regulatory frameworks, and global mobility trends.
Ability to travel internationally and work outside of standard business hours to support recruitment activities and maintain international relationships.
Expertise in CRM systems and marketing automation tools such as Marketo (desirable).
Fluency in one or more Southeast Asian languages (desirable).
