The Role
Reporting to the Senior Events Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the efficient movement of equipment and inventory to facilitate the execution of event logistics. This hands-on role involves supervising a team of casual warehouse crew, ensuring the safe handling of goods and maintaining accurate equipment and inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure the deliverables are accurate and on schedule.
Operate a forklift to move equipment and inventory as required.
Ensure the safe handling, maintenance, storage and transport of all equipment and inventory.
Track and manage stock levels, through record-keeping and reporting.
Conduct stocktakes and identify and report on discrepancies.
Collaborate with event managers to prepare and allocate equipment and inventory for future events.
Supervise a team of casual warehouse crew, assign workload and provide on-the-job training and guidance as required.
Promote and enforce workplace health and safety standards, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
To be successful in this role you will have:
A minimum of two years' experience in logistics, warehouse or event operations.
A current forklift licence and experience using a forklift in a warehouse environment.
Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail wth experience in stock control and inventory reporting.
A safety-first attitude and be committed to creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
