About the Role

A hands on Leading Hand Carpenter / Builder is required to assist with the day-to-day operations, supervision and control of building repairs and construction work projects

Principal Duties:

To provide technical and practical instruction

Check to make sure building works are carried out as per plans

Workmanship is up to an acceptable leave to comply with building code and Australian building standards

Inspect jobs on completion and during the construction process

Required to solve problems using the application of proficient skills and technical knowledge

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

Minimum 7 years of Carpentry experience

Registered Building practitioner

Proficiency in the application of construction skills and principals together with the skill to implement design solutions and to inspect and supervise construction projects.

Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards and legal requirements

Construction Safety Awareness

Capacity to manage trades and quality of workmanship

Site Organisation

Interpretation of drawings

Attributes:

Well-developed communication skills.

Provide a friendly and outgoing personality to clients, team colleagues and contractors

Ability to maintain high level of time management skills and organisational abilities
