We are an Award-winning Residential Construction company who work on the Northern Beaches, North Shore and Inner West undertaking Architectural Alteration and Additions. Due to recent project awards we are in need of a Leading Hand Carpenter/Carpenters to work on new projects.

About the Role

• Full-time position with either a salary or wage package available for the right person
• Opportunities for advancement in the business

Working closely with the Director, your duties are varied and include but are not limited to:

• Undertaking a hands-on role where you will be both "on the tools" and overseeing Carpenters and Apprentices and occasionally other trades as necessary
• Undertake all aspects of Carpentry work ensuring compliance with the design and the relevant standards
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Reading and interpreting plans and drawings to ensure construction work is completed accurately and according to plans and specifications
• Prepare and submit material orders

About the person

To be successful you will need to be a qualified Carpenter and have at least 3 years’ experience as a working carpenter preferably with some Leading Hand experience on Architectural builds. Most important is your positive can-do attitude and willingness to work.

• Have a keen interest in Architectural construction and a problem-solving attitude to ensure that architectural outcomes are achieved.
• Be well-presented, motivated with strong time management skills, excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn and teach.
• A team player who also has the ability to work independently, always seeing tasks through to completion.

The availability of recent and accurate references from employers, Foremen, architects, clients and trades is critical to the hiring process.
