About the Role

Melrose Built is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a proven background in managing residential or mixed-use apartment projects in the $10M+ range. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a high-profile, design-sensitive build. You’ll lead the project from a critical phase forward, working alongside an experienced delivery team, with direct support from a construction-savvy leadership group.

Duties

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

Leading and coordinating the full lifecycle of a residential or mixed-use construction project

Managing project timelines, procurement, subcontractors, and onsite coordination

Working closely with the Site Manager and Contract Administrator to ensure program, safety, and quality benchmarks are met

Overseeing cost control, forecasting, and variation management in line with contractual obligations

Maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders

Driving a safety-first culture while ensuring a collaborative, respectful work environment

Identifying and resolving risks and issues proactively to keep the project on track

Supporting and mentoring junior team members to strengthen internal capability

What You’ll Bring

5+ years’ experience in a Project Manager role (residential or mixed-use preferred)

Proven success delivering apartment or multi-residential projects valued over $10M

Strong understanding of delivery sequencing from structure to handover

Experience using project systems such as HammerTech, Procore, and MS Project

Ability to lead a team through program pressure and design coordination challenges

Commercially astute, with contract management and EOT experience

A leadership style grounded in emotional intelligence, mentorship, and calm decision-making

Commitment to maintaining a compliant, safe, and high-performing site culture

A current Australian Driver’s Licence
