About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis. Opening hours of the Practice are 8:00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Your responsibilities:

Front desk management including all administration duties - answering phone enquiries, making and confirming appointments, processing and managing patient accounts etc.

Maintenance of Best Practice patient database

Processing and receipting payments using TYRO, DVA, Workcover and Medicare billing

General housekeeping and upkeep of reception area and Doctors consulting rooms

About you

You are an experienced Receptionist that can work autonomously and efficiently. You are motivated, enthusiastic and enjoy being a part of a fun and dynamic team.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 12 months experience as a medical receptionist (required)

Experience with Best Practice software (preferred)

Familiar with processing and receipting payments using TYRO, DVA, Workcover and Medicare billing

Comprehension of and dedication to patient confidentiality

Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Reliable and punctual

Casual hourly rate is in accordance with Fair Work covered under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 (Modern Award) dependent on level of experience ($25 - 35 / hour + superannuation as a guide).
