About the role

We are looking for a permanent part time, 4 days per week, Medical Receptionist to join our specialist surgeon team situated in North Adelaide. Our primary focus is delivering a seamless and professional healthcare journey for our patients.

Our practice is seeking a key team member, working collaboratively to provide high quality customer service to patients and referring practitioners. As a warm, empathetic and professional customer service-based Medical Receptionist, you will be self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills.

What you'll be doing

Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner

Handling patient inquiries and appointment bookings, both in person and over the phone

Maintaining accurate patient records and updating medical histories

Answering telephone calls and enquiries

Coordinating the flow of patients and ensuring smooth clinic operations on consult days

Assisting with medical billing and insurance claims processing, including Eclipse billing and health fund rejections.

Providing general administrative support to the clinical team as needed

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a medical reception, administration or customer service role

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional manner

Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail

Proficiency in using medical practice management software, (clinic to cloud or similar is an advantage) and other office technology

A genuine interest in healthcare and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Exhibit flexibility and dedication to accommodate specialist and practice needs

Positive, proactive and good work attitude

Neat and professional presentation
