Join a dynamic and friendly specialist orthopaedic practice in Edgecliff! We're looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys patient interaction, and is comfortable using modern medical software and systems.

This is a part-time role with flexible hours and the potential to extend to full-time for the right candidate.

About the Role
As a key part of our small, collaborative team, your responsibilities will include:

Managing phone calls, emails and patient enquiries with professionalism and empathy

Scheduling appointments and coordinating the clinical diary

Billing experience through Medicare, Health Funds and WorkCover

Liaising with theatres, radiology centres, GPs, and other health professionals

Accurate typing, dictation and word processing

Ensuring the confidentiality and proper management of medical records

About You
We’re looking for someone who has:

Experience as a medical receptionist or medical secretary

Familiarity with Gentu or Genie software (highly regarded)

Strong understanding and experience with medical billing and rebates

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A warm, professional manner with strong patient-facing skills

Great organisational skills and attention to detail

Confidence with technology and a willingness to learn new systems

Knowledge of medical terminology (advantageous)
