Indulge Café & Restaurant in Bayswater offers a distinctive fusion of Italian and Pakistani Tandoori cuisine. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef specializing in Tandoori and Live Asian dishes. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional to excel in both Tandoori and Italian cuisines, utilizing advanced techniques to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a dynamic environment.​

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the kitchen team, reporting directly to the Manager/Owner.​

Collaborate in developing innovative fusion dishes that reflect our Italian and Pakistani culinary concepts.​

Prepare, cook, and serve a diverse range of dishes, including Live BBQ, Tandoori meats, curries, Karhai, grilled sandwiches, vegetarian options, pizzas, pastas, steaks, fried items, sauces, breads, and Tandoori Naans.​

Ensure efficient kitchen operations, encompassing meal preparation, service, presentation, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.​

Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure high-quality food, optimal costing, and profitability.​

Supervise, schedule, and train kitchen staff and helpers.​

Ensure compliance with health, food safety, and hygiene standards and protocols.​

Manage inventory, ensuring safe stock levels to preserve food freshness and quality.​

Prepare customized dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring satisfaction.​

Address food complaints promptly and maintain records.​

Demonstrate excellent presentation skills and strong work ethics.​

Key Skills and Selection Criteria:

Certificate III and IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).​

Over 3 years of proven experience as a Chef specializing in Tandoori and Live Asian & Italian cuisines.​

Adaptable, passionate, with a willingness to learn and a proactive attitude.​

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.​

Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), as well as kitchen equipment handling and management.​

Punctual and reliable.​

Benefits and Compensation:

Full-time permanent position (5 days a week).​

Annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation.​

4 weeks of paid annual leave.​

Training opportunities and paid overtime.​
