About the Opportunity:
Soko Rooftop is seeking talented head sushi chef & sushi chefs to join our recently opened team as we expand to 7 days of opening.

The Ideal Candidate Must Have:

• Demonstrated experience as a Sushi Chef in a premium Japanese restaurant
• Experience in high volume, fast-paced restaurant environment is advantageous
• Understanding of food safety standards
• Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
• Excellent communication, organisation and presentation
• Able and willing to work shift work, including weekends and public holidays

Experimenting with traditional dishes, Soko uses a heavy mix of Peruvian & Japanese style cooking techniques, perfectly fusing and combining flavours to create a stylish tailor-made tasting menu. Expect dishes like ceviche, traditional lomito al jugo, yakitori, sashimi and Grade 9 Wagyu served with yuzu kosho created by a series of master, specialist Chef’s on each counter.

The menu is perfectly complimented by a wine and saké list that has been especially curated to compliment the unique flavours of each dish, boasting a Cocktail menu filled with over 40 flavours of Pisco Sours, delivering a contemporary twist on traditional flavours using a heavy saké and yuzu influence.

Soko’s aesthetic is even more captivating than its menu. Walk into the venue and you will find a full irrigated ceiling filled with live greenery, immediately transporting you to the Amazon Rainforest. The back bar sits 7 meters high, with Peruvian artefacts lining the venue. Latin music, dancers and Bongo Players fill the space, promising lavish nights filled with live entertainment.
