Bhattewad Group has operated in Queensland since last year. We are a growing business and we have expanded at a good pace in the last 18 months. Our company operates a fleet of 35 vehicles and is a provider to Australia’s most extensive delivery services. We are looking for a Transport Company Manager to lead our team. We are looking for someone with exceptional team management skills who is driven, focused, and target-oriented.

The objectives of this role would be as follows:

organizing the purchase and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment, and fuel

liaising with clients to determine requirements and providing customers with advice and information regarding vehicle type, purchase or hire rates and obligations and handling complaints

receiving orders and bookings, and planning and implementing transportation schedules

ensuring goods are stored and transported in conditions that will maintain their quality

arranging collection and delivery of vehicles and goods

maintaining business records and preparing operational statements and reports

coordinating activities associated with the arrival, departure, loading, and unloading of trucks/vans

ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

The key responsibilities of a successful candidate will be as follows:

Ensuring sufficient transport capacity to meet customer demands

Providing hands-on support & mentoring to drivers and monitoring/ managing performance

Providing leadership and support to the region on all Safety matters and CoR compliance

Ensuring efficient transport operations meeting budget expectations

Fleet Management (Capital) and Workshop / Maintenance of capital assets

Cost management

Implementation and administration of fleet management via Microsoft Office, Macros, Adobe & cloud-based software

Ensures that the firm's regulatory and compliance requirements are met in relation to the vehicle fleet owned and operated by the company

Setting expectations and priorities for the team on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis

Attend Monthly Directors Meetings

Maintain vehicle inspection reports

Responding to ALL customer inquiries

Skills/ Experience:

Bachelor of Business

Diploma of Business & Management

Advanced Diploma of Leadership & Management

Advanced Diploma of Business & Management

Strong supervisory or management experience within the Transport/ Logistics industry

Proven business acumen with a successful track record in cost management and business improvement

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to influence and negotiate a variety of internal and external customers

Strong exposure to risk & safety management

Starting salary will be based around $70,000 - $80,000 excluding Superannuation.
